Women in U.S. Politics are wildly underrepresented, underpaid and under-celebrated in comparison to their male counterparts. These women are (or were) the first or only of their position in an elected office in the U.S. government. You don't have to agree with their politics, opinions or stances but you do have to support their right to have a seat at the table. They represent only 8 out of the many women who continue to persevere in the overly male-dominated world of American politics.
